TRUK is designed for startups working on sustainability-focused solutions with the ambition to scale internationally. We welcome early-stage and growth-stage startups with a validated product, strong team, and clear vision for impact and global expansion.
Does TRUK provide funding? How does funding work?
TRUK offers acceleration support, international market access, mentorship, and ecosystem connections. Participating startups gain exposure to investors through demo days, partner introductions, and our broader network.
Startups that successfully complete the program and demonstrate strong potential for expansion into the UK market may also be considered for investment by our program partner Oxtech Ventures, providing an additional pathway to growth and international scaling.
Is the program online or does it require physical presence?
The program is delivered in a hybrid format. Most workshops, mentoring sessions, and community interactions are conducted online, while selected in-person events, networking opportunities, or international visits may be organized to enhance collaboration and market exposure.
Does TRUK take equity from participating startups?
Yes, TRUK may request a small equity participation of up to 2.5%, depending on the specific support provided. This helps ensure long-term alignment and commitment while allowing startups to benefit from the program’s network, expertise, and international opportunities.
Is there a UK visit as part of the TRUK Accelerator?
Yes. Selected startups may have the opportunity to join a curated UK visit designed to support international expansion. The trip typically includes meetings with investors, ecosystem partners, corporates, and innovation hubs, as well as networking events and market exposure activities. Participation is usually based on program progress, readiness for internationalization, and alignment with UK market opportunities.
For startups selected to participate, the program covers flights and accommodation costs, ensuring teams can focus fully on building connections and exploring market opportunities in the UK.
